Succession Planning
We have spent many years obtaining specialist qualifications in the area of wills, probate and estates (all of which can be generally described as succession planning).
We combine these specialist qualifications with over 20 years experience in advising and working with our clients in this area in order to be able to protect the wealth that you work hard to create for your family and to ensure that it is transferred to who you intend in accordance with your wishes when the time comes to do so.
The simplest and most fundamental provision that you should have is a will and we aim to ensure that all of our clients have this basic level of protection in place to safeguard their wealth and their family, even if they have no intention of it being read for a long time to come! As well as this, we work with our clients on an ongoing basis over their lifetime to ensure that they have an appropriate level of protection in place to suit their particular circumstances.
If you have a young family, this means a will that appoints trustees and guardians with the necessary powers and sufficient flexibility to ensure that they can provide the level of care you would want for your loved ones. As your family matures, you may wish to consider putting arrangements in place so that you can transfer assets or provide financial assistance to your family in a tax efficient and timely fashion. In your later years, you may need to consider whether an enduring power of attorney would be advisable to enable the people that you have been looking after all of your life to look after you. You may also simply wish to make a will that puts your affairs in order and gives you peace of mind.
