Food Law
We have a particular interest in food law; the legal issues surrounding risk management in food production and the liability issues associated with defective food products.
We represent food producers in helping to identify and manage risk in their businesses combining a specialist knowledge of the legal issues involved with practical knowledge of the industry. We advise on the legal agreements that need to be in place with suppliers and third parties to protect themselves against the risks in the chain of supply and to make it clear who in the relationship is responsible for what.
We advise on the liability issues that arise on defective product food claims and on the legal aspects of systems required to prevent claims. In the event of a claim arising we know what needs to be done to manage claims effectively to minimise their impact on businesses.
In the event that one of our clients finds themselves faced with a crisis or an outbreak, we are available round the clock as part of a dedicated crisis management team.
